Game Designer
Developer
Currently, Dawn is working on personal projects to build her skills and portfolio for her first job as a developer. She is writing a one-shot adventure for her first TTRPG and learning 3D modelling with Maya.
Dawn Hammond-Quaye worked in marketing for six years and is now making a career change to game development.
She took Code Coven’s Intro to Game Making course and learned how to use Unity and code in C# for the first time. Dawn made 2D platformers, a puzzle game, and an arcade game about an elderly assassin who must hit a target in a race against the clock. The experience confirmed that she wants to become a game developer. Dawn was interested in narrative design because she studied creative writing at university. But she discovered she also loved game design during Code Coven’s course.
